100 Years of Music

We first received our charter in 1903 making us one of London’s oldest and most trusted professional organizations.

Recently, as the musicians of North America are finding that the old-school union mentality is no longer effective in today's marketplace, the AFM and the London Musicians' Association have re-invented themselves to serve today's musicians.

In the forefront, the London Musicians' Association is finding innovative ways to serve its members in addition to the traditional contractual, bargaining, and referral services. The LMA has up-to-date computing and printing facilities in its office to assist members with their promotional materials, we organize industry-related workshops, and are actively working to spread the mantra that "Live Music is Best" and that AFM musicians are "the professionals".

The LMA assists both seasoned professionals and young acts heading toward stardom with the wisdom of its 100 years, but with the agility necessary for today's music scene.
